Good afternoon, my car has just been mot'd with an os front wheel bearing replaced and two ns front ball joints replaced.
My steering has just gone heavy, is it likely to be co-incidence, or something the garage have caused?
In trouble shooting the problem, what do I check and in what order.

Cheers, Ali.

The wheel bearing is unlikely to cause heavy steering, but the top and bottom ball joints, well, that's a different kettle of fish. If the replacement job was done just recently, I would be inclined to take it back to them and ask them to check it out.
The top and bottom ball joints on the D2 are a bit of a trial to do and they should be pressed into place, but some garages have been known to employ a flame. If one or both ball joints have been fitted on a skew, there's no telling what might happen.

Take it back.

Demand they get it fixed pronto.

OK Guys, problem solved for the time being, steering column u/j's liberally lubricated and steering back to normal.
How long can I get away without replacing the column?

Cheers, Ali.
