Hello,

Does anybody knows if there is a difference between the early Discovery 2 blower produced by NipponDenso (OE STC3153) and the later blower produced by Bosch (OE JGC100480) ?

I need to change the blower and by checking in TecDoc catalogue by OE code STC3153 there is no any new replacement produced, only by searching by code JGC100480 I can find new blowers produced by NRF, but I'm not sure if it will fit because mine is an early model with the blower that was produced by Denso and not Bosch

Thanks
P.s. Happy Christmas and New Year !

Hi, yes AFAIK there is a difference as the early one is wider but the sellers are not always spot on... i remember having this discussion a while ago on other forum, see THIS (and the picture in the first post) neglect the links in it cos they are not valid anymore, the gist is that if your's is with the manual blower control like D1 and RRC you need the STC (search for PM9212) and if it's with digital aircon unit get the JGC which is widely available

also Happy Christmas and New Year !

Thanks for the reply Sierra !

Did I understood correctly that if I have digital aircon ( which is true ) I can buy the JGC even if my Disco is early model and by checking OE part codes by VIN it shows that it should be STC blower and not the later JGC ?

By searching PM9212 I found some very similar blower but TecDoc shows that is for Toyota, but from image seems really similar
