After years of dreaming, i bought a series 2a discovery ES earlier this year. Having spent a number of years working in the purchasing organisation at Longbridge, I had the pleasure of working on various bits of Disco at Solihull, so driving around in one of the machines is fantastic!
The Discovery is living up to expectations - great to drive, easily modifiable trim, OK fuel economy, surprisingly good performance (with the breathed on ECU). Only minor issues have been sticking the trim back on, squeaking bushes and the top hose plastic air valve falling apart.
I live in Devon and travel a lot; 10000 miles in 5 months, but the car is soaking it up.
I'm looking forward to taking advantage of he wealth of knowledge in the form, and I'll see you around!
