Hi folks, I'm needing some advice on the axles on my 1996 300tdi 90.
I'm in the process of swapping the gearbox and transfer box. The defender has 145k on the clock and done a fair bit of heavy towing over the last few years. I got my hands on a gearbox and transfer box out of a 1995 300tdi disco that a friend is breaking (106k miles, no towing and very little offroading). I'm just wondering if I should take the axles off the disco while I'm at it and put them on the defender? Is this possible?
Also would there be any benefit of doing this swap? (other than the disco axles being less warn).
