disco td5 wont start

Hello all, thanks in advance if anyone can help
I haven't used my discovery td5 99 for about 2 months. I tried starting it and won't start, the m and s lights are flashing the hill descent is on and the Gear select display shows a B with a / though it. I have tried a new battery. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks charlie

M and S flashing together = electrical fault with the gearbox.

Check all the plugs / connectors / sensors / earths etc etc

Almost always an undercharged or dying battery. Put the new one on charge for 24 hours and make sure the terminals are clean and tight.

thanks for the advice i will try charging the battery if not i will take to a garage
