Looking at some other threads (this is a job I will be doing soon) I Think.. You pull off that plastic cover then you angle grind out the sills, keep the body mounts /sill mounts in place, I don't think body has to be supported.

Same here, best thing to do if you use the landy for what it's built for! If it's a road car then the replacement repair panels may be easier.

Did mine last year.didnt support the body. I would fab up some new sill body mounts at the same time as if yours are owt like mine i cant figure out how to weld paper to metal.

Some people support the body b4 sill is cut out.if it drops once youve cut it your doors wont shut. So for the saje of 2 axle stands i woupd just support it.

I got a lump of 4x2 on a trolly jack under mine before i removed mine, try and use a recip saw with a long metal blade in it then just run it along with the underneath of the floor as a guide, its alot cleaner than an angle grinder just remember to miss the body mounts and the door pillars as you go !00x 60mm box fits perfectly just cut it to length
