Hi I wonder if anyone can help I've got a misfire at around 2800-3500rpm on my disco 300tdi it's a 2000 year so running fly by wire set up ive changed all filters lift pump leak off pipes etc but still doing the same almost like its cutting out then coming back to life diagnostics are not picking anything up but still doing it ive even run a separate fuel supply straight to new lift pump but again same fault ..... Any ideas ?? HELP ...

Year 2000 will be td5?
you would think so but he said he has changed the lift pump, and td5 dont have a lift pump, something dont make sense

Is it the same under load as not? If under load, could be intercooler pipe de-lamming... which one ? is anyone's guess ... change 'em all - not over expensive ...
Any smoke or smell of fuel from the exhaust?
Has the EGR been removed? - get that off and fit a blanking plate ... and cleanout the intercooler ...
Is it auto or manual?
Have you run any veg oil thru it? has a 'cleansing' effect and sometimes residual water in the filters ... just a thought
