Hi Everyone

I have a DII V8 NAS, 65000 miles, one owner, that I'm having problems with.

Symtoms are Down on power, CEL and ocassional "popping" sounds in the left bank exhaust manifolds. Engine runs fine on idle and revs fine with no load.

Using a ODBII reader I see that Long Term Fuel Trim on my left bank is -25 Right bank is around 0.

Error codes are multiple misfires all cylinders and Lean Left bank.

What I've done so far is as per my LR dealer ( Opel / Volvo dealer.... There are no capable LR dealers in a 200 mile radius from where I live..)

Tried spraying Start Gas to see there was a vacuum leak
Check compression = 160 on all cyl.
Replaced the coils
Replaces sparkwires with Magnacore and RPI recommended spark plugs
Replaced O2 sensors
Replaced MAF

But the truck is the same. Worth noting is that the truck runs the same on LPG, so I guess I can at least eliminate fuel issues..?

Could I have a worn cam? I've been listening with a stetoscope on the engine block, and yes I do hear a little taping sound but I would have thought I could hear it a Lot if I'm having problems with the cam.. or..?

Any tips are greatly appreciated as the truck has been parked now for the better part of 3 years and I'm missing a lot of LR meets.. ;)

Regards
Carl

Without seeing it on Testbook its difficult to be sure, but it sounds very much like a low reading Maf.Can you see live data on your scanner ? 22-25KG/hr at idle,at least 90kg/hr at 3000rpm - engine hot all loads off.

Hi eightinavee

So would a bad MAF show itself like this, Only one bank Long Term Fuel Trim..?

I would have thought that the ECU would trim both banks..?
