disco II gear box problems

does anyone know of any other reason for the gear box on my disco II td5 (2004) to go tight on the gear stick after long journey on the m/way other than lack of oil

it never hurts to do an oil change... at least you know the oil grade and level are correct?

I have the same problem. Ive Changed the gear box oil and checked its the right grade but when on a long run and the box gets hot the stick tightens up . YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! Help US Please

Hi - I have a 2002 Disco 2 and my car is doing the same... very very stiff when hot after a motorway run at 70-80mph, then ok when it cools down.

Going to discuss with a car man that might know tomorrow, but pls anyone else post and let's sort out this prob?
