Disco far too FAST!!!!

Seriously, my previous Disco had 127k on when i sold it, and was a good solid reliable plodder. My frontera 2.5 was quick-ish. The F&%**&^&ing shogun was slower than a dead snail, again 2.5. But.........this Disco ive just bought absolutely flew when i drove it home. Top end i dont know, got to 70 on m/way and thats it, but the acceleration through Liverpool town centre knocked me for six, so much so my son decided to get in the disco on the way home rather than our mondeo zetec following. Im gonna post some pics of the engine to see if anyone can identify anything, but i always thought they were just plodders?
This deffo aint a plodder, it accelerated hard in every gear with no real turbo lag.

Thats funny, cause mine also goes like shi* off a shovel, and when I had it serviced the other day, the landy guy said she is a powerful ole gurl. 70mph not a problem, it will still accelerate well past that.
