disco engine and box into defender

i am fitting a 300 tdi and gearbox from a disco
to a 110 defender i notice the gear lever fouls the
seat box is ther any way round it or is it just a matter of cutting and forming
middle seat area

yep just wondering if theres a mod you can do or just

I believe ashcroft do an adapter to convert from short stick to long stick r380.
Then use the defender top housing.

This. Or if you have access to a lathe you could probably knock one up yourself.
The measurements to make your own are on here somewhere.

Just mod your seatbox... gearstick is in a far nicer plac as long as u dont need your centre seat...

A mate just turned the gear stick stub 90 degrees and seat box needed no mods.
