Hi Forum members
My first (hopefully of many) post.
Having owned a wide variety of 4x4s in the last 30 years - Subarus/Troopers/Shoguns etc necessary for my job - a wildlife conservation officer, and for our hobbies - fishing/shooting/wildlife photography/land management, I always looked on Land Rover's products with some suspicion (sorry!)

A few months ago my wife developed back trouble which was probably caused by getting in/out of her Subaru Legacy - what she needed was a 'sit-up-and-beg' vehicle for a more comfortable driving position. After a brief and disasterous flirtation with a LWB Shogun our first Disco td5 arrived - the all-singing-all-dancing ES. Must say we were both seriously impressed with it, so last month when I retired and my company vehicle - a Toyots Hilux - was returned, I was already a Disco convert.
Last week our second disco td5 arrived - this time a 'bog standard' version which I'm delighted with.

Reading through some of the posts on this forum it seems that Landy owners are a genuine self-help group, sharing huge wisdom and experience with 'greenhorns' like us so I'm really delighted to become part of it. Thanks
Robin
