Disco 3 Ignition Barrel Issue (key doesn’t release all the time)

Does anyone know if a replacement ignition barrel needs to be done by a dealer on a 57 plate D3. I’ve seen that it’s a fairly common issue where the key won’t release from time to time. I asked a lock specialist for a quote but they said the ignition barrel on a Disco 3s need to be replaced by a dealer. If so I assume I’ll need new keys to?
