disco 2 td5 cut out and will not start

I have a disco 2 1999 cut out when driving engine light not c:crazy:ecu
What would make the engine stop with out waring light showing

have you checked the cut off switch mounted under the bonnet? Supposed to stop the engine in the vent of a crash but sometimes can be triggered by a pot hole etc. Mounted on the bulkhead on a Defender but I'm not sure where it is on a Disco.
