hi all so its time to tackle the annoying squeal from the gearbox i have diagnosed this to either the release bearing or spigot bush.
Im gonna try and tackle this myself as quotes for the job are steep,i plan on doing the rear crank seal and flywheel change while im in there
my question is has anybody tried a draper transmission jack



 
Hi removing the TC box and Clutch housing tegether as one makes it a very heavy unit, ther is an adapter plate you can use to remove the TC box separately, the

hi was going to split on vehicle to make life easier plus change seals etc
 
I did mine on a two poster, split tfer box off gearbox, biggest arse was some bracket on top of the flywheel/gearbox housing, car did have rear a/c which might have had something to do with it.

I done mine on the driveway without splitting the boxes. That Draper Jack is exactly what I used. I made a t shaped adapter that bolted to the box and put a trolly jack under the transfer box so its weight wouldn’t twist the entire assembly when I pulled the box back and out. It did work, but it was awkward and if had to do it again, I would consider splitting them. What I will say is, remember and unplug the Crank Sensor !!
