Hi, probably a stupid question but does anyone know a likely location for the CD changer in a Disco 2? I have had a quick look around but cannot see it!

cheers I will have a look tomorrow. there is some sort of compartment there but when I stuck my hand in (I didn't actually look) I couldn't feel anything. It is quite possible it is not there!!! just my luck!

I used to have some sort of universal socket that would grip onto any sized nut - I didn't buy it I have no idea where it came from but it was handy. It had lots of thin pieces of metal inside that were sprung in some way so as you pushed the socket onto something the pushed back and then gripped it

The CD player is under the driver's seat, as already said. There should be a small panel in the front of it to allow access to the 6 disc magazine.

The locking wheel nut key should be in a small(ish) wallet normally stowed in the pocket in the rear door. You should also find the little gizmo for pulling the covers off the locking nuts, the wheelbrace and the handle pieces for the jack.
If you're missing the wheel nut key, then a Land Rover dealer should be able to tell you the original code for your vehicle when you provide the VIN and proof of ownership.
The jack should be stowed behind the battery, under the battery cover.

No!
ABOVE that!
Tother thing is a "secret" compartment to keep your keys, cash. johnnies, etc in!

it is always something I forget to check when buying a car - which reminds me I never checked if the locking wheel nut key is there!!!
When I bought my Disco 1 in the days when they were still quite expensive, the CD player was full of discs.
I rang the owner about it he said "Didn't you like them then?" cheeky fecker!

...and the two clever wedge type chocks are also in the bag, or should be.
If the wheel nut cover doesn't work, cos the lickle tab things on the end have been snapped off, don't worry, just put the wrench on and turn it a bit, it'll come off! Or you could take it off in other more genteel ways!
