Hi everyone,
well we were looking at the bulkhead on my 88" today (currently being taken apart). I want to fit power assisted braking to it (i.e. a brake servo). We have the pedal box from our old discovery 1 which we scrapped last year and we were wondering if it was possible to modify it or the bulkhead to make it fit. Is it worth doing that and if so how would we go about it?

Or should we just look at getting a servo off a series 2/2a?

for the work involved and the probable overboost from the servo not to mention the probable wrong size mastercylinder (mentioning nothing of the huge chunks you'll most likely have to cut out of your wing and bonnet) i'd suggest getting a servo and pedalbox complete from a Series 3

simple to fit and it's more likely to match your brakes

Look for a late series III pedal box. you will fing its a right PITA to fit a disco pedal box as it allcompletly different pedals are too long and such like. way better fitting a series III assembly or a remote servo.

Yes I thought it would need too much work to fit. Just wondering cause I had one around really. I'll have to look for a series one to fit, seems a much better option :)

Cheers,
Sam

the disco servo is hardy bigger than a series 3 servo, the pedal box is not much different and will fit as it is, just bolt in and plum it in, but if it was a non-servo landrover you will have to make the cut out in the wing no matter what servo you put in.

i have one in my little 88inch series 3
