disc handbrake

After spending several hours re-building my handbrake on friday, i did have a very good look at those, but for that money i cannot justify one.
Much sooner smash my knuckles dropping the prop and trying to find the roller bearings that fell outa the pistons.:D :D

I think they are a good idea,was going to suggest you make yer own,but at that price I think I'd get the plastic out .Besides,you should see how much ****ty black dust I made with the lathe turning the drum into a disc !
 
On the drum brake there is a part inside the drum to divert oil leaking from the rear output seal away from the braking surfaces, looks as if the oil will blather all over the disc and pads with this set up.
 
Why bother LR's have had a crappy drum hand brake for some ware in the region of 60 years why bother changing it now when most people seem quite content.
