anybody know if the dipstick tube is the same for 300tdi as 200tdi, I need a new one for my 200 but can only find the 300 one listed on lrseries site. It must be available mail order btw.

I don't think is the same as the 300 tdi but may be same as the 2.5 turbo pre tdi model.

thanks Lee that would help quite a bit
plenty of snow up here at the moment, just got back from a 7 hour drive, first 2 hours and last hour on lightly compacted snow, exhausted wth the concentration, loads of cars off the road. Whats it like your way

just as bad here, pulled 3 cars out of ditches yesterday, 1 didn't even say thanks, miserable french bastard, next time he can stay there. as for dipstick, will measure it later and give you a length. LEE

No it's different 300 comes out of the block and goes left to the front of the engine. and the 200 come straight out the side of the block.
