Hi All
I've a Haynes Disco 2 Service/Repair manual which came with a digital copy on their website, the Range Rover Classic 1970-1992 Haynes manual doesn't seem to have a digital version (specific interest is 1991 3.9 V8). Have I missed something, or does anyone know of a PDF/Digital copy anywhere?

The paper manual is great when working the car but the digital copy useful for research.

Thanks
Simon

Think the factory manual for that year came on the RAVE disc.
Earlier ones were the big paper books - which I've got for my '86 3.5EFi.
Factory ones are well ahead of the Haynes - I've got their book that covers mine as well & a lot of the diagrams & instructions are straight lifts from the factory manual.
I did have a copy of the RAVE but as it didn't cover mine I gave it away.
There are various listings on ebay for digital manuals but whether any of them are any good I have no idea.

If you do a search for the RAVE disc on here there's quite a few links but I've no idea if any of them work

I have a RAVE version that covers Classic 87-93 & 95, but it seems LR just scanned the paper version !!

Request download here.

Thank you both :)
Good point on the RAVE, I had a download of that for my old L322 when I had it, its probably a level more advanced than my mechanical skills but very helpful.

Thanks for the download link, I've followed that :)

Ive the paper manual on order so I can go old school and flick through the paper and index, will be like being at school again!

I don't know about a pdf of the manual but the genuine workshop manual is essential. You also need to understand that 1991 was a model changeover year meaning some bits might be from the 1990MY; for example, my '91 RRC had 1990MY front axle - this is important because the 1990 front axle, specifically the swivels still had the railco top bush but later ones had a small needle roller bearing on the top. This also means setting pre-load is affected. There were some other odd details so you have to be careful about what parts you order. Troubleshooting was not really affected other than whether or not the engine was on cats or not and if the abs had the traction control fitted to it.

Thanks Kev, as the one I am looking at is a Sept 91 it might be a MY '90, but in 31 years who knows how much of it is original :) I will look out for those things and in the manuals what differences etc.
Im hoping it isnt a cat model, given it was an expensive optional extra I cant think why someone would have ordered that option (also reduces power!), ABS on the Vogue might have been a extra too, but one to check
Thanks

Cats or not depends on manufacturing date; not aware it was an option. I suspect it will be non-cat but well worth checking as O2 sensors are known to cause running and idle issues when they start to play up. ABS was standard on Vogue SE, not sure about Vogue. Bleeding the ABS system on these can be a mission. There are no shortcuts, by the book, to the letter is the only way.

Thanks Ratae - that is a great website, I've looked through most of what I can find, interesting stuff, got to love/appreciate people who take the time to create these specialist websites :)

Thanks Kev - good to know, its due a full service at point of sale, if not brake fluid included I was going to ask they do it anyway for peace of mind. I dont trust my skills with brakes!

There is a Rave copy with early disco, Freelander and classic on it
I have a copy. Will try and find the link where I got it from
On checking the files they were downloaded 6 yrs ago There were 3 separate Rave downloads 1 was for above 2 L322, P38 and Defender 3 Disco 2, Freelander 01-
Got them through a link on Range rovers.net but as its altered now can't seem to find it
