Hi everyone wonder if anyone could help,got a discovery 2 ,which I think the diff is locked in,it's not a manual diff it's the electrical type,any suggestions how I can unfree it?thank uou

If it is actually locked, don't drive it on the road.

If the transmission is wound up it won't release straight away. Drive it on a loose surface or try reversing would be my suggestion... however the peculiarities of a D2 are lost on me so there's might be some other explaination.

Which diff is locked? Centre diff or an axle diff? More info needed to determine what's actually wrong .. why do you think the diff (whichever diff it is) is locked?

Could it be an air lockable diff, that operates from a compressor/air tank with a switch on the dash?
