Why do you want a new one? Can I assume that your's is seized. If so place it in your vice and clout it with your hammer.
I did place it in the vice but I damaged the mating surface for the gasket. Does this really matter? Will silicone seal it up again? Also do I have to take the end cap off to free the shaft up or will the shaft be seized to the end cap. Sorry for asking stupid questions

I don't think that the mating surface matters too much as it only bolts on top of the gearbox. The shaft should slide freely within the housing, I can't picture the end cap from memory but this could be where it is seized.

It'll matter a bit. It keeps **** out of the gear box. How badly damaged is it? Wont it just sand out? Local garage should skim it for a fiver if its THAT bad. Then just put 2 gaskets on if needed. Thats what I would do anyway :confused2:
