Diesel P38 starting issues

Hi there, just bought a p38 diesel 1999, which,when warm, has starting issues as follows:
Ignition on .. no glow plug warning light, but an orange warning light that looks like a fuel injector with spray coming out of it.This light extinguishes after a short time.However when cranking it takes an age for the vehicle to start (if at all) Any suggestions?

the hot start problem is a well none fault, after checking the usual stuff like injector spill of pipe and service items. its wear in the diesel pump and can be fixed with a rellay and 2k ohm resistor, or if you not confident look on ebay for the HOT START FIX. its a unit that cost around 20-30 quid. the injector light will be on until it starts, its an engine management light.
