diesel into zooki

quick query has anyone here fitted a small oil burner into an SJ if so what
donor
and of course is there an adapter kit

I have it on good authority that the 1.8 diesel from a ford escort/sierra
mated to a sierra 5 speed box will fit without too much difficulty, no
adaptor kit needed, just the centre prop to sort.(and exhaust, wiring, pipe
work etc etc etc)

(I'm sure Geoff will be along soon togive more detail)

Thanks Smurf I had heard the pug 1.9 diesels go in and also VW but I was
wondering about the smaller units 1.4l pugs etc problem being they all seem
to be transverse setups

The Pug 1.9 is factory fit in France, I've never seen one or the adaptor.

As Smurf says the Ford oil burners and gearboxes will go (tho you will need to
make engine mounts ect)

Keltek used to do a conversion kit for the VW, tho that was discontinued years
ago, if I was going to do one I would look at a old Trooper as the donor.
