diesel engine change

hi boys im back

have finally got rid of my sh-t v.m engine out of my 1990 r/rover and now looking to fit a land rover discovery 200tdi engine in it

what i need to know is, will it fit straight on to my 5speed manual gearbox or do i need a conversion kit and are the engine mountings the same as the range rover
i have been told that you can take a r/rover engine out and fit a disco engine straight in with no problems as they are the same veichle just a different body

please help as i am at the stage of burning it
