Does anybody know anything about tuning diesels? What is adjustable etc and if there any good ones in the north west??
Since getting the new Disco last month ive noticed a large hole in my bank acount due to the amount of go go juice i'm having to stick in. I worked the mpg out yesterday and i'm averaging 19.5 to the gallon!!!!! Surely that can't be right can it??????
Any advice greatfully appreciated.
 
i posted an item on here a few months ago i had a better intercooler fitted by brunnel perfomance in tollesbury essex since then im enjoying approx mid 30s mpg & smoother performance with power comming in at 1400 revs
 
hi there! there is very little you can adjust but you should be able to find a decent diesel engine tuner who can run a few tests for compression and pump and injector problems in your area. If you still having probs contact me and i will give a few numbers of people near me Bury/ ramsbottom. I do most repairs myself thou can't afford to send them to garage, I own 110 2.5td and a 2.8td classic rangie. just had engine out of 110 after rear crank oilseal failed for 2nd time and changed timing belt while it was out it.ok
 
Try driving a bit slower. Its not a racing car!! :D

Seriously tho. My 300Tdi will give me around 27mpg if I drive it nice around town and 35+ at 60mph on a run.
