Hi one and all.

I will be rebushing my defender and am not sure which bush kit to get

On one hand polybush are supposed to be the best but at around £120 its quite expensive

Or deflex at around £55 and i could get 2 sets for the price of the polybush :D

Can anyone reccomend one over the other, oh yes i will be using my landy for a 12 month overland trip. :)

there was a good thread on this a while back. a chap on here called sheddy has had alot of experience with them and if i remember correctly he said the deflex ones will only last about a year if you give them alot of abuse. original polybushes last longer but he recommended replacing with land rover original parts.

as your doing an overland trip i would recommend replacing with original polybush for the price. original landy parts would probably not work out very economical with your overland trip coming up.

my threepenn'th says Polybush every time. Deflex will last you about a year when you go offroading. Polybush are alot cheaper than you think, try Simmonites in Bradford as advertised in the Land Rover mags.

i use deflex bushes without any problems, they are also used by the eams in the wrc, i know its not the same as off roading but hey, im just trying to point out that plybushes are double the price and only flourish off their reputation due to the fact that they were the first. personally i would like to put a vehicle on polybush and a vehicle on deflex and run them identical until one gave up. i wouldnt go for the propaganda that poly are better because ..... go with deflex you know you want to ;)

Just to add a few other points i will be fitting old man emu shocks and heavy duty standard height springs. The 110 will be used as a camper for a trip next year to libya and beyond in april 2008
