Defender td5 1999 transfer box

Hello there was out in my landy last night defender 1999 td5 and my transfer bis is being stupid... Diff lock works, but I can't change from high to low range, so I'm stuck in high all the time, I've had a look but can't see what to do,

So can any one explain? Or is it a new transfer box?
