Hi All,

Hoping you can help clarify the confusion in parts for me.

I need a new RH lower Door Hinge (1991 x-mod 1/2 doors) #347362 - Superseeded by MXC8282

Now the question is...I see a bunch on Ebay for 5-16 quid...then I go to LRSeries and see the "genuine" part for 32 quid.

Now my question is there that much of a difference between what I am seeing on ebay and the Genuine LR part.

My problem is these little buggers are heavy and shipping across the pond to B.C. will be pricey so I am trying to ensure I get the best bang for my buck. I tried the sh*tpart Kit only to find out they don't fit.

Help?

I'd go genuine. there aint much difference in the price and the post is the same. If the e-bay ones are **** then your left in the same boat and the cost of new parts and post again. I just saw a brand new pair of hinges on a 110 and they had as much play as my old ones. They where a pair of ****part ones.

Not fitted them yet, but I've bought a set from flatdog. They are zinc electroplated for corrosion resistance and have stainless fittings. About £40 iirc.

Got some original genuine hinges here as the pins on mine were about worn through.

RJ Landrovers | Defender 90 & 110 | Landrover Specialists in Sawtry, Huntingdon

£20 for set of four. Not Britpart or pot metal.

Perfect. Just needed painting and fitting. Also got replacement captive nuts and new stainless bolts from the same place.

Those look like the style of the ones that I got that didn't fit. They are the later type and the top hinge is too large and interferes with the capping on the two piece military door tops...see attached pic. The hinges I need are narrower and not as thick.
