Defender dash removal

Whats the best way to take a defender dash out, can it all be taken out in more or less one piece, I reckon the end caps and bottom section have to come off to get acess to the bulkhead screws; or does it have to be stripped down completely.

Complete stripdown get lots of tubs because there's loads of little fiddly bits that are easy to lose.

it will come out with the bulk head if thats what your getting at ! none of it has to be removed first

I think he's welding the bulkhead not removing it but even if he does remove it he'll need to strip it down so he can fit it back on to his new bulkhead

Its a new bulkhead thats going in, so I will probably do it in situ when its held in place etc...

It's an easy job to do as you strip it photograph everything or write down what comes of first as the dash was in boxes in the back of the 90 when I bought it and I had to figure out where it all went and in what order. If you fit the wrong pieces first you have to undo them and start again. (Don't ask how I know)

There are two screws hidden behind the plastic tray a foot or so either side of the centre. The Bastid thing won't come out till you find these an unscrew em.

It int that we don't know how to post pics or links to em it's the fact that we ant got a gallery to direct links an people to. An I was just askin generally if anyone knew why.
