Defender 90 SWB

Hi All, was wondering if anyone could advise, i just purchased a defender 90, the problem is the trailing arm bracket that is attached to the rear axle (offside) has snapped and is beyond repair due to corrosion, my question is can i get these brackets from anywhere.? what would be the best way to repair (axle removal) etc.. Thanks in advance

If you cant weld Get someone who can - rear wheel steering is for forklifts only

I have had the same problem, the bracket that joins tie rod and axle has disintergrated after hitting a pothole on the A47 the other day. I have tried the link to paddock spares, but they'll take 4 days to get me the part. is it worth fabricating one, and if i do, will it be MOT legal?

here may be able to help but hurry they are shut from 17/2

no it just says they will be shut until 5/3 from 17/2 on the front page!

Its just a simple bracket so make one yourself and weld it on straight. If you cant weld or dont trust your welding them get it done by a jobbing welder.
