Hi all. I thought I would ask a couple of questions on my newly acquired Defender H Reg. Looks the biz, but having just picked it up, I am not sure what some of the buttons do on the console (more update than my 90 of old). Some must be electric windows, or rear spots which don't work. Also, it has a diesel heater fitted and I don't know how the remote works. I shall post some photos. Lastly for now, the diff lock doesn't seem to work. I am thinking maybe lack of use, although whoever put the centre console in with the diesel heater in has left no room for rear movement, that's for sure. Any thoughts would be welcome. Cheers

That was going to be my suggestion. Whether they still work or not mid a different question!

Rip it all out and put it back as it was originally

Not sure I completely agree with the go back o original but I would certainly be looking to investigate thoroughly to make sure any additional working has been done properly with fuses and relays etc.

The heater does work, but I just press a random array to get it going. it does look programmable though, which would be handy. I wonder whether it has been plumbed in to replace the original, as that does seem to be the case. Original fan doesn't work, but that could just be another thing to sort.
I cant imagine the seats are heated, but they are quite nice leather ones so I will check.
To be fair to the bloke he said if the stuff can't be fixed viably, he will give me my money back.
