Defender 1986 fuel tank leak

Hi, just noticed I’ve got a leak on my fuel tank, small drip from the tank it self, the tank was replaced a few years ago. Before I remove the tank and replace with a new one is there a common fault to check before.

What car/year is your landrover ?

Check all the hoses are tight, check the fuel pipe fittings, and if a 100 (not familiar with a 90) check the seal on the sender unit. if all of these are good then it is likely to be the tank itself that has failed.

Replacement tanks come with a joke amount of paint on them.
