The DRL's!, stopped coming on on my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport.

The problem started as a couple of months ago, when I start
my car I notice sometimes the lights flicker rapidy (as if contacts
comes on
and off with engine vibration).
I checked the fuses and the 15 Amp fuse for the DRL is ok, but I could
not tell which relay is responsible.
Now the lights stopped running completely, with no effect to
headhights. Both low and high beams running fine when I turn the light
switch on. Nothing is wrong with fuses, the owners guide proved to be
useless. Since the DRL's are mandatory in Canada, i don't want to get a

ticket over this silly issue.
Any suggestions to what is the cause of this problem and how to fix ?
the fuse is still ok.

I am having the same issue. I took out the light switch and notice
that that one of the connections had been pretty hot. I replaced the
switch and tried to make sure the connection that had got hot was
tight. Everything seemed fine....for about a day. My dash lights
worked head and tail lights worked, but the alternator light came on
and the charging gauge was on the low end of normal. I also noticed my
turn signals were sluggish. Then without warning it died. This
happened yesterday Feb 17. I am going to pull the switch out again and
try to see if something in there is still a problem. Other than that
and fuses I am not sure of the next step.
