Hi and welcome!

Good luck with the rebuild. Don’t forget lots of pics of it before, during and after when you can. There’s a section that you can start a thread on the rebuild in Your Land Rovers.

Welcome to LZ!

Series is a nice drive in London. I have been driving them there on an off for 40 years.
Straight sided, acceleration is OK, top speed is irrelevant as you never go more than 40mph.
Other drivers tend to give you plenty of room, due to the steel girders front and back.

Couple of things to consider, first being fuel economy if you do lots of miles.
The other, as above^^^^^^, parking. It wont fit in most multi stories, and street parking spaces are often small too.
And the turning circle is massive, so not ideal for getting into tight spaces.

I like them. Very smooth power delivery. Downside is the fuel consumption, but they aren't much worse than a 4 cylinder petrol. Setting the valve clearances is a fiddly job, but doable, and you won't have to do it very often.
