Drving round Devon and suddenly the RR develops a death rattle.
After a little panic it was apparent it was an exhast problem rather than engine / suspension / diff / gearbox.
Up on a ramp in a random friendly garage (for a fiver) it was apparent the left hand cat ceramics (?) have come away inside the cat and rattle for Britian.
So a new twin pipe, twin cat section is required. (unless someone can tell me there is a cheep easy fix?)
A quick glance on ebay shows a stainless steel item avaiable for £184. Which is considerably cheeper than the Land Rover originals...
Anybody got any experience of these type of parts? Reliable, noisey?
The RR came with a new back section so don't want to invest in the Janspeed end to end system - although it looks like a good piece of kit from other threads.
Also - has anyone changed the cats on their RR's? The only bit i'm worried about is getting the lamda sensors out. I'm fairly sure they're not going to undo in a smooth and friendly fashion!
