Now ive been blessed with a real compressor id like to get a DA sander to prep bodywork.

A quick look at machine mart reveals a number of options all around 30 quid.

Some have 8000rpm speed others have 10000 - 10000s seem to be cheaper ? Whats better ?

Or do i just bite the bullet and buy the xpro for 40 quid ?

Dont know much about air tools other than the ingersollrands we use at work are the bollocks but well out of my price range.

Fyi i currently use a fecking bosch mouse and its pish. Vat free day on sunday 4th - but i am open to buying from else where if you habe any recomendations.

Is it any good ? Got a link ?

The clarke xpro is 40 quid but vat free so about 30 quid hence why im looking at it plus if its ****e i can wrap it roond their lugs, they sold my dad the compressor saying it would do sanding and spraying :)

100litre 14cfm.

Also got a 7.5cfm 24litre

Can tandem them if needs be but im certain the 100litre should be up to it for limited periods.

You should be fine on small areas.
14 cfm should be ok but a 100litre tank wont last long.
I have a 160litre tank and that just about copes as long as I don't do too much at once.

To be honest I got sick of using mine, main reason was the compressor was constantly running, and second reason was the 'exhaust' constantly blew cold air on your hands.
Maybe the design of mine was ****'e as it was only a cheapo one (£20ish) and my compressor is 100L too, but maybe not as high of cfm.
I bought erbauer electric one in the end.

Got a jcb random orbital but its pretty pants- its a very slow action

Machine mart had a vat free day on sunday locally and i got double bonus for working new years eve and day on night shift so treated my self to some new air tools instead of the compressor id budgeted for.....i had no idea i was getting one for xmas :)

Xtools da sander , die grinder as i hate my dremel , it has no oomph., 3 inch cut off saw. And a clarke needle gun to prep my wheels - also pipe work to link my 2 compressors together as the off brand 24 litre-7.5cfm comprssor worth about 25pence to sell so be as well just rigging it up for if i want to run anything big or extended periods - 21.5cfm should work with most things if i need it....they live plumbed into a shed at the back of the garage and ive run hoses into the garage to filter/regulator. Like you aaron i cba plumbing it up everytime but i much prefer air tools to electric - we use air tools almost always at work - not sure clarke compares remotely to ingersollrand but we will see...

Well thats a bollocks .
bought 40 sanding disks last time i was in town from tool station in anticipation of my da sander coming.....

I bought hook an eye , guess which my da sander uses .....

Baws.
