Hello and before anyone says throw it away and fit a manual pump, I won't!
Fault detected on fuel temperature sensor, which I believe to be integral to the pump. Does anyone know whether this is accessible with / without removing the pump and if so is there a part number please. Alternatively would it be worthwhile obtaining a s/h pump and swapping the sensor onto mine?
Any advice welcome please....except telling me to go manual

My D1 parts catalogue shows various injection pumps, but it doesn’t show a fuel temp sensor as a replacement part, so you may be unlucky with the part number. :(
As for the other info u required I haven’t a clue, I’ve never been interest in Diesel engines :D

That's really very useful info, thanks.

I was thinking I had ERR6727 (based on vin) but have just established where the pump markings should be so will check when I can.

If it gave you ERR6727 based on VIN then that's it, as i didnt know the VIN i presumed it's ERR3336 so if it's 6727 then it's Bosch 0460414991

Just remembered I said I'd give an update....replaced sensor dead easy just a couple of screws holding it in place. You will need a specific triangular bit to remove the top cover off the pump but got this as part of a bosch bit kit on ebay for £10
