Hello All,
I'm putting LPG in my 1998 4.6 HSE, and this afternoon I was soldering in the gas injector loom.
To do this you cut the negative wire from each petrol injector and solder in wires to and from the LPG ECU. This allows the LPG ECU to know when the petrol injectors are firing.
Thing is the electrical troubleshooting manual in RAVE doesn't show the correct wire colours to the correct cylinder. At least they're not as they are in my RR.
I thought the cylinder order was
FRONT
2 1
4 3
6 5
8 7
REAR
But when cutting the wires to the petrol injectors wire colours were wired up in this order...
FRONT
1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8
REAR
The engine runs fine, and of course the wire colours don't matter provided they're connected up the the correct terminal on the ECU, but has anyone noticed this before? Is this just crappy build quality, a mis-print in the manual or am I missing something?
