Hi,

I have had a clunking from the front wheel when turning and pulling away as a cv joint. Do you agree?

If so....how much/long might I expect a garage take to replace if I have not got tools to fix myself.

Also....

If I leave it for a while is there any chance of further expensive damage or chance of breaking down?

Mine used to crack like bloody hellers on full lock so I replaced them. Looking at the old ones there want that much wrong with em an I reckon they'd have lasted years. Dunno wot it ud cost to have em done but you might as well do the seals an bearings an stuff while it's all apart.

Yes mine were clicking like mad aswell and as said when you take them out you sometimes cant see any damage. If you do this yourself and it is fairly straight forward if you buy the complete kit. However, it is one very messy job!

Mine has been like it for the last 2 months and i keep putting it if. It turns out the local spares shop said it could be one of three types, so i will have to take it part to see which one it is.

mine have been clicking on full lock fer the last 2 years. they'll go on fer ages like that. I'm waitin till sommat else breaks before doin mine.
