Cruise control problem

Hello

Does anyone have any idea why the cruise control on a P38 would not work?

I have had the switches changed on the seering wheel

The switches have been checked on the dash and are supposedly OK according to the computer

The mechanic also checked something under the bonnet and said that it was OK

But it still does not work!

I had a problem with mine, under the bonnet passanger side you will see a black cone with a rubber pipe on it, check the rubber pipes as they do split. i found the best way is to remove them and blow down each one bending them at the same time.

yup these pipes are famous for going brittle, check all pipes even from the pedal in the car
