Set at 70mph all is fine until I go up a hill I can feel the throttle pedal going down but engine doesn't respond until I tap the pedal down just a little more then revs come up and back to 70 again drives perfectly fine driving without the cruise on vac leak?. 97 EDC

If the vehicle maintains the set speed on the flat without a problem then there’s nothing wrong with the cruise control, the throttle postIon will stay the same going up hill.
l suspect that its a lack of engine power to carry on up the hill at the set speed, I believe that tdi’s normally slow down on steep hills, but try setting at a higher speed (tab) to go a bit faster, that’s all I know about CC and Tdi’s. :(

Oops, only just noticed it's a D1, thought it was a D2 so you can ignore what I said, I think. EDC should show something up on a diagnostic. Can't see why it isn't. +1 to Discool

Think I've found the problem a split vac line will see if it's sorted the problem on the way to work tonight.

Imposter!...no one who owns a land rover would be smart enough :p to use a word like idios....idiosyn.....idiosyncra......that big word you used.
