Crazy Question ! Bmw engine into 110.

Hi, As the title say`s, this might be a crazy question, but here goes. I have a 1989 110 2.5td , i also have a 1989 Bmw 525i, with a 2.5 petrol engine. I have been trying to sell car for weeks with no success. Then the other day a seed was planted in my head, would it be possible to put the 2.5 engine from the BMW into my landrover as i would have everything there, wiring, ecu, radiator etc.
Has anyone done such a thing, do you think it would be possible!!!!!!!
