i've got the dreaded 3 amigo's (HDC/TC/ABS). now i've checked the wire to the switch on the gearstick, and are in place with a good 12v feed. i've measured the resistance of all 4 ABS sensors, and all come out at 950ohms. im at a loss what to check next. has any body got any suggestions????? before i burn it. Mot is on saturday, and it would be a shame to fail for 3 feckin led's. TIA. p.s all lights come on as soon as i turn the ignition on and dont go out if that helps?

cheers guys, BUT non of the above. had it plugged in today, and its the front right sensor. now hunting for a cheap replacement.

Seems a bit weird since all you sensor resistances are the same. Make sure it's not just a connection issue.

checked `all connectiions, and they seem fine.

on a side note, i've just ordered a new sensor at £92 delivered from World Car Parts > Home. bit better than the £170 i was being quoted everywhere else.

it just gets feckin better!!!!! after a few weeks of constant 3 amigo's, i order a new sensor this morning. guess whats working fine now i've got in it??????? so i now have a surplus sensor!! aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!!!

Ring and cancel it before it's despatched....

i would if i could, BUT it was despatched as a priority next day delivery as my MOT is tommorow. they will accept it back though and return funds thankfully. really cant understand what has gone on with the sensor though. wierd or what?

If a non permanent fault is detected, the related warning
lamp illumination and default strategies will only be
employed in subsequent ignition cycles if the fault is
still present.

According to this the fault was not permanent so I guess that could include things like crap affecting the air gap and giving implausible readings.

well, they kept coming back on, so i changed the sensor that testbook said, and guess what???? still on! the exact testbook description was "front right sensor electrical failure" if that helps.

Yes,it does that code gets logged when one of the conductors snaps inside the insulation, when you check the sensor resistance you need to bend the cable around and watch the reading - chances are you can make it go open circuit.

A few points, first dont trust new parts - esp "cheap ones" check it out again.Second check all the cabling back to the ecu and the plugs at both ends. There is of course the possibility that the ecu has a poor internal connection, unlikely but Wabco ecu's are not unknown for failure.
