Hey folks.

I’ve purchased a new pick up ring that sits between the crank and Aux pulley from INA however although I am told it was correct for my 2007 freelander 2 it doesn’t seem to be correct. It fits the same as the OE one howecer the OE almost has a spacer built in to the middle where as the new one is basically thin and flat. Other than that it’s identical,

Please see attached picture, any advice greatly appreciated.

have a read of this below, it says that the sensor need to match the trigger ?

I notice you purchase from INA

Did you think of trying these below.

I recently bought a crank sensor for MY07 from Febi it was a perfect match to the one taken off.

There are 2 types, an early which gave many problems, so was superceded pretty early on. This means that most were replaced for the more reliable later type under warranty, but it looks like yours wasn't.

You'll need to replace the sensor, trigger wheel and crank pulley, as they're all designed to work together.

Additionally did you fitted locking pins? If not the cam timing will have shifted, as the pulley bolt keeps the cam timing correct.

Thankyou for the info, it’s much appreciated. I have looked at the updated trigger wheel kit, the only bit that I can’t quite figure out is the new style trigger wheel doesn’t seem to have the wider centre which means it sits closer to the crank pulley which in turn means the aux pulley will also sit closer and won’t run true with the the other pulleys?

Edit…. Sorry I’ve just realised I need a different Aux pulley too
