Gents after some help again,!

Right last night whilst i was on duty i changed the glow plugs on ma 110.

Number 1,2 and 3 were wet!...but thats an other story:(!

Whilst on top of the engine changing number one glow plug i noticed silicone/gum round the where the crankcase breather attaches to the rocker housing.

Now that aint right and needs fixing soon as. Question is does anyone know what size the "o" ring is that the breather connects to?:D

Hopping this is in relation to the wet glow plugs, but didn,t have time to investigate further , but going to change the breather and o ring to start and clean all the breather houses out next.

Gents as allways thanks in advance...............and i still aint sold ma 90:(

I use some big diesel engines and i,d never use silicone!

I,m unsure of the last persons skill at working on the engine and after owning the 110 for 2 weeks i do question some of "their mechanical ability"

Depending on how good a silicone/sealent it could break down, well thats ma chain of thought and ma head is full of mince like:rolleyes:

Just trying to make this 300tdi run as smooth as the 90, thinking i,ll do the glow plug relay next aswell.

They don't seal well using the o ring as its probably the wrong size knowing landrover :)
You could use a thicker oring and that will probably do it mate :)

Once apon a time we had "o ring" repair kits in work , top bit of kit, but i aint seen any since i arrived in Catterick...best start digging around.

This "very tidy" 110 looks great but slowly issues are apperaing!

think i,ll whip the rocker head off and inspect once the new gasket arrives.

New wheels are hold fur now

very good thinking ,getting a vehicle mechanically sound before buying the goodies isnt normal behaviour in a good few i see :)

having a vehicle coverd on shinnys and toys is fecking useless if it dont move or smokes like a 1930,s locomotive!

plus if it aint running right it will drive me crazy:mad:. needs more power also to pull the weight of shinneys so power and service first!

i have OCD with the wagons and armour i use at work. think i,ve brought that onto ma personnel motors now.
