Disco 1 cracks in body-chassis brackets - the end of the way?

Greetings all

After many kms in rough terrain my disco1 98 300tdi has developed some bad cracks and brakes. Basically most of the brackets holding the body to the chassis have detached. There are also some cracks in the sides of the engine bay (the internal wings) and the front right corner (near the battery) has collapsed. I have attempted welding the brackets but some, mainly the ones just in front of the front doors are difficult to access and the welds did not hold. A symphony of squeaks and other noises is heard, especially off-road.
I was wondering if this was a known problem of disco1 or is it only I who have managed to ruin the car in such a profound way?
Also, is there a fix that does not involve lifting the body and re-building the brackets? This would be expensive over here so getting a new vehicle (or just a body) probably makes more sense. I am quite attached to the car and would hate to give up on it.

All the places you have mentioned are common on the disco 1, there is a company (see the link below) here in the uk
that do all the panels you require, you could contact them & see if they would ship to you. Its only metal if youve got the
time & tools/skills then its worth while repairing.

If they are not willing to ship you can buy the mounts & panels off ebay & have them posted to you by using the ebay

I am an amateur welder with little time and space to do a project like this on my own (though I would love to if I had someone experienced to assist). The other thing is that I use the vehicle every other week to get me to the desert, and I can't stay without an off-road vehicle for the weeks-months it would take to fix this one. So it would have to be fixed by a professional or to be replaced. Unfortunately 4/10 of the mounts are almost inaccessible, so welding them w/o lifting the body fails. I was looking for a quick and cheap fix, but I guess there isn't one.
I may buy another Landy and then decide about fixing this one. It's a shame that these mounts are so thin. My old disco has really been a trusted friend taking me in and out the desert time after time.
