Correct carb solenoid wiring colours and guage?

After a bit of trouble staring this morning it's time to replace the old piece of mains lead that currently provides power to the two solenoid so on my 32/34 dmtl carb I'd its held in the right position!
Can anyone tell me what the correct colour and guage should be used to replace these connections. I have searched wiring diagrams and found schematics with no colour reference.

Red wire to this one in all photos I have seen.

Thanks Scooby, that wires an integral part on my solenoid the joined with old mains live wire to the other solenoid and on to the coil. Would be nice to do properly this time.
