Core plug.

My 300tdi decided to shi t its core plug this morning, all I need. Never had the need to do one before. Any tips? Is It a push for or do i need sealant? Are they all same size, quality? It's the one under the turbo. And a part no would be handy.

clean hole, pick a socket that fits in core plug well but a loose fit as it will tighten when been inserted ,use loctite on edge of core plug,fit just below hole edge ie just beyond flush

I think this is one of those jobs where time spent cleaning and preparing the hole will pay dividends, I did a mini years ago, when I was younger and impatient, it's a sod to get the new one back out.
