So in the pursuit of keeping drinks cold I’ve bought a coolbox from Halfords, does the job well, it says it will keep things 15 degrees below ambient temperature which is ideal, and does work very well.
I used it yesterday to keep drinks cool at a party in a field with no electric supply, luckily I thought I’d take my heavy duty jump pack with a 12v socket to run it off in case it flattened the car battery, well it would of for sure as it flattened the power pack in around 10 hours,
Im thinking if I had some sort of a cut off to cut the power to it if the voltage dropped to low then I could just leave it connected to the 12v socket in the boot,
I’ve had a google but didn’t come up with anything,
Any ideas where/if this sort of thing is available?
I have thought about a leisure battery and split charge system but that seems like a complicated expensive solution
